PTAC systems are available in standard cooling with electric heat or PTAC heat pump configurations. A standard PTAC uses electric resistance heat, making it ideal for colder climates or applications where consistent heating performance is required. PTAC heat pump models provide both heating and cooling by transferring heat, offering greater energy efficiency and lower operating costs in moderate climates.
